Why are there white spots on my nails?
This abrupt discoloration, also known as “leukonychia punctata” in a medical word, is sometimes incorrectly related to our food. Indeed, its milky appearance was used as a warning indication that our bodies were deficient in calcium or magnesium. However, no relationship exists in actuality!
Immediately after a wound near the base of the fingernail, unexplained patches of varied sizes begin to develop.

Gaps between the layers of keratin are formed when the nail is struck, enabling air to pass through. Stains begin to appear as a result of this.
What can I do to get rid of it?
Unfortunately, there is no cure for them, so you’ll have to be patient to get rid of them. The spot will eventually vanish as the nail grows around it. You don’t need to be concerned about it since it isn’t harmful. You may cover it up with a gorgeous varnish that is so impenetrable that you won’t be able to see anything.
What can be done to prevent it?
The simplest way to avoid them is to take good care of your hands. Maintain their health by avoiding dangerous chemicals that might dry them out and make them brittle, by protecting them from harsh temperatures, and by moisturizing them with lotions and oils as much as possible.
What if there are still spots on my nails?
Nothing occurs regardless of how carefully you guard them? Gently press on the base of your nail and see the reaction.
Is the white spot still there after a while? It’s on the nail, so you know it’s a result of being shocked.
Is it gone or has it changed color? The skin may be the source of the issue.
